Re-write your comment to include everything we discussed in class today:
The people affected in this article are the tourists and the people who live in the islands, Pulau Tengah and Pulau Besar. They are affected because the beaches that were once spotless are now full of sacks with diesel oil. Now, the tourists can no longer go on the beaches and go swimming.
Other people that are affected are the people who work by the beach, the activity people; because no one will come to the beach anymore and so they will not earn any money.
Another thing that was affected was the red seaweed which is now black, so then the sea creatures that eat the red seaweed cannot eat it anymore, so they are affected as well.
Maybe the people that dumped the diesel oil in the water will be affected because they will get in trouble.

Write a full paragraph describing everything you have learned about current events over the last few weeks:
What I have learned about current events so far is all the differnt types of articles. I have learned what articles are acceptable and not acceptable, to know that I have an acceptable article I ask myself who is affected and how? So now I know that acceptable articles have to affect the whole world. For instance a shark attack might affect friends and family but not the whole world. Although something like the war in Israel and Lebanon will affect the whole world because all their houses are destroyed and people are dying and so on.
Second, I have learned how to describe an article, like making sure I have accurate information, not making guesses, explaining how people are affected, and not just saying what has happened you have to explain the topic. So when I describe an article, I write what has happened all the facts and not predicting things like they could have died it has to be a fact. Then I describe who is affected and how and make sure the whole world is affected. When I am finished I read it aloud and make sure there are no grammer mistakes and make sure that what I’m saying makes sense. Last but not least I will make sure that I have decribed the article enough that it proves that I have read the article and deeply understand what the article is talking about.
